Growing commercial laundry demand resulted in CLS out growing their previous facility, and a new modern largely automated facility was needed. Delivering the project required close co-ordination with a variety of specialist equipment suppliers and manufacturers including a custom woodchip storage area and boiler, bespoke laundry equipment from Europe and a complex gravity fed bag rail system. Structural solutions were tailored to the specific needs of the end users.
The facility features large span steel portal frames with attached steel and precast concrete specialist areas, including the boiler house, woodchip store, sterile services room, chemical store room and electrical room, and the office and staff facilities.
