Interior spaces were opened up to allow more space for boarders along with upgrades of the toilet and bathroom facilities to create a modern boarding facility within an historic building. Structural strengthening works consisted of strengthening of the roof structure, bracing to the upper gable wall parapets and strengthening the existing brickwork elements.

St Bede's Durham Building
The Durham Building is a three storey boarding facility and is the largest building on the St Bedes College campus. Originally built around 1954 the building suffered some minor structural damage during the recent Canterbury Earthquakes and structural repairs and strengthening works along with interior refurbishments were completed in 2015.
