Lewis Bradford carried out the structural design of the 10 units, and produced the construction drawings. Each structural steel planter box is supported on 6 curved tapering laminated timber posts which are supported on a hexagonal precast concrete pad.

The SCAPE legacy sculpture for 2013 is a re-locatable sculpture inspired by the once prevalent kahikatea tree of the Christchurch swamps, currently situated on the corner of Colombo and Gloucester Streets.
