The factory and showroom space is column free for future flexibility in the split of factory versus display space. Careful design of the floor slab and foundation system was required due to the softer soils on site and the proximity of the Avon River. Stone column ground improvement was provided under the building along with additional tension steel in the floor slab to resist lateral spread movement across the building.
